Envirosight wanted to update the user interface for their sewer inspection tools. I worked with them to make their app easier to use while still feeling familiar to existing users.

Design Process

I started the design process by mapping out all the existing functionality and breaking things down to their base elements. The goal of the redesign was to make the experience easier to use without totally restructuring everything so I focused most on smoothing out the existing interaction patterns and bringing in a more cohesive visual language.

Connecting

Users are able to connect to a device and sync it with their tablet. Files can be stored and organized locally or synced to the cloud.

File management

Managing videos and staying organized is made easy with a new media gallery layout.

Video capture

Shooting video has all the same familiar features but with an updated look and feel. Easily switch between the device camera and stored footage.
